Afghan refugees work at a carpet loom at a camp in Peshawar, Pakistan. Under a UNHCR voluntary repatriation program which began March 2002, millions of Afghans have returned to the wartorn country, though more than 1.5 million remain in Pakistan, a majority of whom have lived there for decades.
